Take a look around and you can quickly
guess that there are many different speakers with different designs in the
marketplace. Sadly, however attractive the designs are, it seldom corresponds
with the audio quality. On that note, Edifier sends us another funky looking
speaker. It sits there begging to be played. So being the kind soul that I am,
I decide to try it out. Let’s find out if it’ll either disappointment or
fulfillment.

Exercise with it
Right from the start of this review, I have
become confounded and puzzled. How in the world do I describe the E10’s design?
All I can think right now is dumbbells. If I combine both speakers, the E10
will look very similar to one such device on its own. It is heavy at the bottom
and good for exercising. Beyond sharing similar look-alike traits aside, the
speakers truly stand out. The long tower is where the speaker sits and the
sort-of-sphere body at the bottom is the bass driver. Angling the bass sideways
does seem to be the right thing to do because the speakers are blocking its
sound path.

E10 implements the solution that better PC speakers utilize
Thump thump thump
After seeing a number of bad speakers, I
have to admit, my expectations aren’t high. That’s when Edifier E10 decides to
blow me away with its impressive audio quality. Just imagine: I get to hear
clear, crisp and loud music without any problems. The bass produces a clear
thump and as long as I don’t max out the volume, there is simply no distortion.
From old classic to bass-y hip hop music, the speakers’ performance is
outstanding.
