Lenovo ThinkCentre Edge 91z - Centre Of Thought

We Think with an Edge and find it to be a thoughtful experience

All-in-One PCs are usually marketed as home entertainment devices that will also function as a screen-sized wonder of a computer. Which means that, by way of this, you'll less likely find an All-in-One in an office environment more than you could find beer in the office fridge. But the Lenovo ThinkCentre Edge 91z is going to change all that. You see, it's both a multimedia device AND something suitable for the offices. Isn't that thoughtful?

That balancing of roles is evident immediately in its design. The black, office-suit aesthetics puts it in the office mood, while the more rugged edges and look makes it both sleek and stylish. It'll look nice at home; and at work, it'll look like it's for work.

Fundamentally, though, the Edge 91z adheres to common AIO design senses. You get a healthy amount of USB ports, an optical drive, VGA and HDMI connectivity and Ethernet and Wireless support all crammed into a 21.5-inch screen. It's not the slimmest AIO out there, but it's more space-saving than usual, aided by an easy-to-adjust stand. Too bad that it doesn't support USB 3.0 connectivity, however, which feels like a shame these days.

As a multimedia device, the Edge 91z performs decently. The stereo, while not perfect, is loud enough for music and movies. The screen itself can display crisply and brightly, and it's great for HD content. It's just rather unfortunate that the screen is too reflective to our tastes, and is often a hindrance.

While its more stoic looks might fool you, the Edge 91z sports an Intel Core i7-2600S processor, which combines well with its 4GB of RAM to give you some admirable performances. It doesn't matter if you're plugging it up for work or fun; the Edge 91z can run most things smoothly and hitch-free. It doesn't have a proper dedicated graphics card, however, which makes it not so suitable for gaming. But still, the performance here is bang for buck.
