In

There
are 4 options in the main menu of the program. Quick Recovery wil try to
restore the damaged files, while Deleted Files Recovery is useful for files
which are already removed from Recycle Bin. Formatted/Lost File & Folder
Recovery will process files that you need to restore after reformating a
partition or the entire drive. Search Lost Volume will restore the entire drive
which was deleted by chance.
In
the first 3 cases, the program will scan the selected drives and show the list
of files it restores. Whether it could find the files you want whether the
drive is used since it was deleted or not. If yes, the files you want can be
overwritten. In order to reduce the possibility it happens, you can copy the
content of a drive to a new position so that it could continue without causing
more damage to the damaged drived.
When
the scanning finishes, the program will present the content of the files before
restoring them in order to let you know that you choose the right files.
Stellar uses many “signature“files to help recognize the typical type of file.
For instance, it knows the difference between graphic files .jpg and Word
documentary based on the way the files are structured.

specify the place you want the lost files, which will be restored, to be put in
