Video conferencing is already so common.
Not too long ago, what people see on the other side is usually grainy or
nothing at all. This is due to low resolution camera or horrible internet
connection. Thankfully, all those problems are solved now thanks to the
innovations that have appeared in the last decade. On that note, Logitech
decides to take it a step further by bringing video conferencing into the
living room. Calling it the TV Cam HD, this device adds another long-needed
feature to your regular living room based TV set.

So fast?
When I picked up the TV Cam HD, I could
definitely feel the quality of its build. Sure it may be plastic but it is
hefty and doesn’t come across as flimsy and lightweight. As for the
installation of the device, I really didn’t expect it to be this fast. However,
I had been proven wrong as all I need to do is to hook the HDMI cable and power
brick into the camera. Even my grandmother can fix it herself if it is this
simple. The only way minor obstruction to manage is finding a suitable location
to set up the device. As for being plugged into the web, it easily and quickly
connects to my house’s Wi-Fi or, even better, I can just opt for the Ethernet
port.

Ring ring
After I log into my Skype account, I
instantly do a video call with my friends. All I get from them is how they can
see me clearly. That says a lot about how good the video quality of the TV Cam
HD is. What’s great about this device is it sets off a ringer and flashing
light to tell me to “answer” my call. Certainly a very convenient and practical
feature for sure. If nobody’s there, a “Message” light is illuminated to tell
me to check who called. All this function can be seen through my Skype account.
