Though spam bots are smart, they do still send thousands of posts and are thus caught.

Twitter-Spam, are machine generated posts that the supposed new followers leave behind in your threads. In that, the names and profile pictures of the followers as well as the content of posts are rarely identified as spam at the first look. If you are very active on Twitter, then these tweets clutter up your account very quickly. To avoid this, you must go through your follower list at least once every two weeks and block the spam followers. You can recognize the machine generated posts without struggling for long with the tweets and checking them individually, if the link targets are okay. While glancing over the images, names and posts, sometimes it becomes quite clear what spam is. But in cases where you are unsure use the following trick - look for a distinctive word order from 3 to 4 words and copy this. Now open Twitter once again in another browser tab, and put the copied words in the search field and click search.

In the result page you can now recognize whether it is a spam account or not. If not, there are only a few hits and mainly various tweets. If the words are from a spam account, the identical tweet will be shown hundred times. When you identify a spam account you can simply block it with a click on the arrow to right of the list.

15.  Google +

Organize your contacts for better privacy

Use Circles (groups), to update your colleagues and friends seperately and keep everything from being seen.

Description: All functions of Google+ on your PC are also available on the go.

All functions of Google+ on your PC are also available on the go.

Like Facebook even Google+ offers the option to share own photos and posts with certain users only. While you fiddle with lists on Facebook, in Google+ it works with a simple Drag and Drop in circles. Drag people with the mouse in to a specific circle that has actually been defined beforehand by you.

For every status message, Google+ asks where you would like to see this person and you can simply select the corresponding group. You can obviously add the same person to several groups and no one but you will know who you put to which group. Once you have sorted your friends and colleagues, than sharing with people you want to is as simple as it can get.

16.  Google +

Google+ via Android app

Use Android- App for Google+, to manage your account on the move

Description: Google+

Google+ is also available as an App for Android and iPhones. Android users must keep an eye on the system setup, as by default the App is set up in such a way that every picture you take with your Smartphone is uploaded automatically to your online account. You have the option to turn off this instant upload altogether. For this go to Settings from Menu, here in the bottom section you will find the option of Instant Upload, simply uncheck it to disable. Apart from this you also have to choose to upload only via WiFi and there is also an option that allows uploads only when the battery is charging. In addition to that, the App also offers functions same as Google+ in the browser. Contents can be flexibly shared with groups and other's posts can also be read. Besides one can even - like Facebook Places - mention the place at which one is currently located.
