ZoneAlarm starts its life as a Windows
firewall, with free version for private using. Security Extreme 2013 is fee
product added lots of features to supply an entire set of Window security
applications.
These additions include antispam, PC
Tune-up, parental control, online backup, personal browser, download security,
keylogger jamming, Facebook privacy scan and preventing online tracking.

Controlling screen consists of three simple

Quick scan and full scan can start from a
secondary screen of controlling panel, but if you want to scan a special file,
you have to click it in Windows and choose ZoneAlarm menu option.
PC Tune-up is included, but according to
default, it is not installed. Licensed by Large Software, it is an application

test spent 36 minutes 27 second, but ZoneAlarm only tested 8.767 files. It
brings scan speed of 4 files a second, the second slowest that we have
recorded. However, ZoneAlarm did well in taking file fingerprint, and the
second scan only needed 19 second.

when a ZoneAlarm scan are working. It is better than average, but it is not the
best time we have seen from security applications.
Independently testing lab of German,
AT-Test, marks ZoneAlarm 13.5 points over able 18 points, put it in the middle
of group on productivity.

Divide these common marks, ZoneAlarm gets
5.5 points over 6 points for Usability, with low consumption of sources and
only one fail in two months.
Its result is credit for Repair, although
ZoneAlarm is especially good at removing toxic components and fixing unexpected

Protection though out the second month of test, in which it indicated some
difference of detecting zero-day attacks.
Verdict
ZoneAlarm Security Extreme 2013 is a useful
security app in almost aspects. It provides helpful online backup, and PC
Turn-up elements better than average. Antivirus protection is quite good, and
it is one the low-price security options.
