Corsair Vengeance M60 Mouse

Does R.A.T finally meet its rival?

Corsair has quite impressive generations in many fields. The company has started to produce cache L2 modules, and is still the place you need to find so as to have high performance RAM as Vengeance and Dominator DDR3 series. Recently, we have seen the sound system, power supply, PC box, and USB drive that are labeled as Corsair. And generally, that is a sign of high quality.

Accessories are the next step – high-glass devices for gamers ready to pay more for stable quality as well as improvement and use capabilities. Mouse playing the Vengeance M60 FPS game is an excellent example of that – excellent accessories, 8-button function, and other additions, such as adjustable DPI button and extremely low ‘sniper’ DPI button, are becoming standards for game mouse.

Specs are very impressive, but in fact does Corsair have a perfect launch to game mouse market with M60? Maybe there is nothing surprising, the answer is yes.

R.A.T race

Corsair Vengeance M90 Mouse

There are 2 mice in Corsair’s new series. M90 serves for the need of MMO gamers, and it has 15 programable buttons. M60 is for First Person Shooter (FPS) gamers, and for those who suppose the separation between seconds and DPI is all. Even the most unpleasant Counter-Strike Source gamers will be satisfied with its performance.

There is still disagreement whether DPI really creates big difference, but M60’s adjustable polling speed, high tracking speed and low-friction PTFE pad create very smooth experience. If you still hesitate about that comment on DPI, it is 100 dots higher than our most favorite mouse, Mad Catz Cyborg R.A.T.7.

This is a mouse for which smart people have looked for a long time – this is very clear in its safe design and labor effect.

The sniper button sounds to be quite well arranged as if you had already used it, and the place where you put your thumb is really suitable for the mouse pad. Spend some time using M60, and it turns out to be comfortable for any hand position, which is worth thinking if you are so professional that you analyze your handle.

It is clear that most money is put into its remarkable building quality, but that means it loses advantage for the same-price R.A.T. 5, which is adjustable in weight. For a product that is first launched, M60 is incredible. It is difficult to see its mistake if you are a FPS gamer. Mainly, you want a comfortable mouse that does not have plenty of buttons and that you can keep pressing unintentionally, and you want it to have a reasonable price. Corsair has all these things confidently.

Adjustable DPI and sniper button is useful adtions in a layout that should be very limited, and appears as if it could survive after a nuclear explosion. It has no adjustable wieght and free scrolling wheel, but its cheap price relieves this worry considerably.

PC Format’s verdict

It is the first-launched Corsair’s mouse that rises to be at the top of the race. It is also a good bargain.
